I am extremely interested in learning how to provide my own care for the horse's hooves. I have kept the boys barefoot all along, except for a short period where I had shoes on Cody. Even though I only pay for trims (no shoes) the costs can really add up. So looking at it from a financial view, learning to do your own hoofcare could amount to some serious savings.

I found a website that is very informative if you are also interested in either having barefoot hooves or learning to trim your own horses. Hopefully I will eventually feel brave enough to give it a try.
