I do a lot of my best thinking while I am sitting in the barn petting Booger & Patches (my mouse patrol) waiting while the horses eat their breakfast ;-)  This morning while I was sitting there, I was checking out my hay loft. It is a fabulous hay loft that holds close to 200 bales. However, I didn't use it this winter - instead I stacked my hay where it would be easier to access.

Then I remembered one of the tips from the one of the links discussing uses for binder twine. ( Binder Twine )

This is what I'm going to do next winter:

Hay bale puller
I have my hay stored on the end of the barn up in a hay loft. I only keep one bale down at the stalls at a time so I was spending a lot of time going up and down the hay loft ladder. So I lined the hayloft edge with hay bales laying on the side and tied half of a baling twine to each one so all I have to do is pull it down when needed. Now I can use 6 bales before I have to climb back up the ladder. LOVE IT!
